Lameness
We do detailed lameness evaluations and have the facilities, experience, and quality diagnostic tools to make the right diagnosis and to provide appropriate options for treatment. Our grounds are well suited for these exams. Article: Understanding Lameness and the Lameness Exam

Pre-purchase exams
We do thorough pre-purchase evaluations regularly for our clients and believe strongly in providing this service. Most purchase exams are scheduled at the clinic. Article: Purchase Exams.

Digital X-rays
Eklin Mark III - a true digital x-ray, not computed radiography (CR). With CR, an image is only produced after the exposed electronic “film” is placed into and interpreted by a separate computer processor. This takes extra steps and lots of extra time. While the very best CR systems produce great images, the basic CR systems produce images that are not comparable to high quality true digital x-ray. Our true digital system produces fantastic images that appear within two to three seconds of being taken, allowing for real time adjustments in x-ray technique to get the most information possible. This enables us to develop an immediate treatment plan. Quality images of difficult-to-image areas like the shoulder and neck can be taken with our system – even in the field.

We have a well-equipped in-house laboratory equipment which allows fast and thorough monitoring of intensive care cases.

Foaling
We have foaling stalls set up for attended, supervised foaling of your valuable mares. We use the Foalert system, which consists of a magnetic monitor attached to the mare. When the mare begins foaling the magnet separates and sounds an alarm that immediately alerts our staff via our cell phones. Our heated stalls are equipped with cameras, which allow our staff to better monitor the mares during and after pregnancy. We are set up to deliver resuscitation to foals as needed.
